We found this vintage Disney character doll at an Estate Sale some time ago. It was made by GUND when their trademark logo was a lower case cursive "g" with rabbit ears.Horace was Mickey Mouse's sidekick in the cartoon series from 1929 to about 1940, before I was even born. Do you know who Horace's girlfriend was way back then?
I found it interesting, when I did my research on him, to find that in the same cartoon he would at times be on all four legs, behaving as a horse, and then in the next scene be on his hind legs, all dressed up like a cowboy, with hands instead of his front hooves.
He did not last as a Disney character in the Mickey mouse cartoons, but was edged out as Goofy became more important as a side kick.
